Description: Our client is currently seeking a Registered Nurse- CVOR in Wilmington, NC!

Registered Nurse – CVOR (Novant Health)

Location: Wilmington, NC Shift: Day (4x10-Hour, 6:15 AM - 4:45 PM) Start Date: May 27, 2025 Duration: 13 weeks Positions Available: 1

About The Role

Novant Health is seeking a Registered Nurse – CVOR to join its cardiovascular operating room team. This role requires experience in scrubbing cardiac cases, supporting CABG, valve replacements, aortic dissections, TAVR, and other advanced cardiovascular procedures.

Responsibilities

Scrub for cardiovascular surgical procedures in a high-acuity setting
Maintain sterile techniques and assist in complex cardiac cases
Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists for efficient case execution
Float to main OR on the same campus if CVOR volume is low
Participate in Storm Team or Hurricane Team responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 2 years required Certifications: BLS required Skills: CVOR scrub experience, proficiency in cardiac procedures Preferred Qualifications: ACLS, Level 1 trauma experience

Scheduling & Work Expectations

Weekend Requirement: Call shift every third weekend
Call Expectation: Four 10-hour shifts per week; may work a fifth day if called in during assigned call weekend
Orientation: 24 hours provided
Scrubs: Provided (blue)

Medication Systems: Pyxis
Charting System: EPIC
Communication Standard: SBAR
